"In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Titus 2:7"
Christians are the light of the world and are expected to be patterns of good works in their sphere of influence. The most important areas God wants us to demonstrate good works in are doctrine or teaching; the doctrine of Christ should not be diluted but rather taught in sincerity and with certainty.
The second area is in our speech, and what we say should be checked so that only healthy speech proceeds out of our mouths. The tongue has power to produce life and death, and it must be used correctly because the devil and his children are on their guard to condemn our speech (Proverbs 18:21).
Our good works, however, will put them to shame because they will not be able to find anything to use against us. Dear beloved, it is possible to live a good legacy for the world to copy.
