"He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.1 Thessalonians 4:8"
Apostle Paul, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, cautioned the church in Thessalonica not to look down on one another or one another's gifts.
Every believer has been bought by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, so in God's sight, we are equal and should treat one another as such. Since all of the believers at Thessalonica were children of God, whatever they did to one another - whether good or evil - they were doing it to God.
The Holy Spirit, who is the seal of our salvation, lives in every Christian, and therefore we must respect one another and never belittle anyone. We should also exhort one another daily (Hebrews 3:13). When we do these things, there will be unity among us, and we will do the work of God with joy instead of bitterness.
When there is love and oneness among us, it is easy for the world to see the light in us and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Dear beloved, what did you learn from this gospel?
