The Holy Scriptures have revealed to us how poverty can be identified so that we can either choose to avoid it or befriend it. Poverty is an attitude: 
 
When you begin to love sleep, slumber, and idleness, you have befriended poverty, and in no time, you will begin to experience lack and poverty.
 
 Poverty is dangerous; it can cause you to sell all your assets, and it can even influence you to commit a crime. Avoid too much sleep and idleness; instead, be industrious, enjoy working, and you will have enough to spare. Dear beloved, have you ever experienced poverty and lack?
